{"id":7280,"date":"2016-02-17T10:00:53","date_gmt":"2016-02-17T09:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.paxchristi.at\/?p=7280"},"modified":"2016-03-09T09:56:12","modified_gmt":"2016-03-09T08:56:12","slug":"workcamp-waldhuettl-10-7-24-7-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.paxchristi.at\/?p=7280","title":{"rendered":"Workcamp Waldh\u00fcttl: 10.7.\u201324.7.2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Service Civil International (volunteering for peace) f&uuml;hrt in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Waldh&uuml;ttl und Pax Christi &Ouml;sterreich im Sommer 2016 ein Workcamp f&uuml;r Jugendliche in Innsbruck durch.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 22.4px; text-align: justify;\">InteressentInnen werden gebeten sich m&ouml;glichst bald im Pax Christi B&uuml;ro zu melden.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<!--more-->\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Jugendliche (Mindestalter 16)&nbsp; von der ganzen Welt treffen sich zu einem interessanten Programm im Waldh&uuml;ttl (Bauernhof, Gemeinschaftshaus, Tipi, Zeltplatz, Kuturscheune u.a.m).<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Untergebracht sind die Jugendlichen in einem einfachen Lager in der Kulturscheune (Dusche, WC vorhanden). Von Montag bis Freitag gibt es ein ca. 6 h Arbeitsprogramm:<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t\t<span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Anlegen eines (rollstuhl- und rollatorgerechten Weges) am Rande der Tandembeete<\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t\t<span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Bau eines Zaunes &ndash; &ouml;kologisch und anders (Einz&auml;unung Schafe)<\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t\t<span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Errichtung von Hochbeeten f&uuml;r RollstuhlfahrerInnen<\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t\t<span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Verbesserung der St&auml;lle<\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t\t<span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Verbesserung des Weges der Religionen<\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Neben den og. Arbeiten wird&nbsp; selber gekocht, dies mit selbstgeernteten Produkten, eine umweltgerechte interessante Lebensweise kann im Waldh&uuml;ttl gepflegt, auch erlernt werden.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">Geplant sind Kontakte und Fortbildungen mit den HausbewohnerInnen, welche G&auml;rten und die Waldh&uuml;ttlfarm (Schafe, Enten, Hasen, Hennen, div. V&ouml;gel) betreuen, mit den HausbewohnerInnen, Roma aus der Slowakei und&nbsp; Rum&auml;nien, weiters&nbsp; mit den Asylwerbern des Schlosses Mentlberg. Ein Sportfest mit&nbsp; Roma und Asylwerbern ist geplant. Ausf&uuml;hrlich werden Ans&auml;tze von Friedensarbeit mit inkludierter Stadtf&uuml;hrung besprochen und erlebbar gemacht.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\">F&uuml;r die internationale Gruppe w&auml;re der Kontakt mit jungen &Ouml;sterreicherInnen sehr interessant, junge Menschen, die bereit sind mit Jugendlichen aus aller Welt zu arbeiten und auch Erfahrungen auszutauschen. Die Workcampsprache ist Englisch. Die Teilnahmegeb&uuml;hren sind sehr gering. Der &ouml;sterreichische Zweig wurde 1947 gegr&uuml;ndet.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><strong>Description:<\/strong> Waldh&uuml;ttl is located on a picturesque, hilly part of the alpine city of Innsbruck in Tyrol and is property of a nearby convent. It has been a refuge for resistance fighters in the 2nd world war and nowadays contains an intercultural housing and small- holder farming project. It is home to minorities and marginalized groups such as Hungarian Roma, asylum seekers, transient workers, couch surfers, pilgrims and a local voluntary staff, who relentlessly keep the project running. The property is a venue between people of different backgrounds and offers the possibility to learn from each other in terms of intercultural understanding and alternative, environmental and nature- bound living form projects.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><strong>Type of Work:<\/strong> International and local volunteers in this camp will help organising a sports event and a Roma\/ Syrian festivity, renovate an existing path of &ldquo;world religions&rdquo;, create a new wheelchair- accessible path through the garden, construct raised planting beds, build a fence for the sheep and ameliorate the stables of the animals. Work will be mainly physical and will be for about 5 to 6 hours each day.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><strong>Study Theme:<\/strong> Living conditions and everyday life of Syrian asylum seekers and Roma, world religions and conflict regions, alternative and self- sufficient living forms, urban gardening projects in Innsbruck.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><strong>Accommodation:<\/strong> The sleeping room will be in a three leveled, cozy and clean barn, where beds and mattresses are available. Please bring sleeping bags and sheets and who needs it, pillows. It is also possible to sleep in a tent in the garden, if you bring one with you (and if yes, don t forget a mat). There is a small kitchen in the gathering room, where the volunteers can cook.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong> Small letter of motivation required. It is located in the Inn Valley between high mountains, the so-called North Chain in the Karwendel Alps to the north, and the Patscherkofel and Serles to the south. Innsbruck lies about half way between Munich (GE) and Verona (IT).
